{"id":1475,"date":"2016-02-16T22:37:56","date_gmt":"2016-02-16T14:37:56","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.nemmadventist.org\/?p=1475"},"modified":"2016-02-16T22:38:08","modified_gmt":"2016-02-16T14:38:08","slug":"acs-my-blood-your-hop","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.nemmadventist.org\/?p=1475","title":{"rendered":"ACS:  My Blood, Your Hope"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The department of the Adventist Community Services and Health Ministries Department in coordination with the Philippine National Red Cross would have a bloodletting program with the theme &#8220;Dugo ko, Paglaum Mo&#8221; (My Blood, Your Hope). \u00a0This is a regular program of the Adventists in Caraga region to help those who are in need of blood.<\/p>\n<p>The bloodletting will be at Northeastern Mindanao Mission, Km. 3, Baan Highway, Butuan City this coming February 21, 2016.<\/p>\n<p>These are the qualifications of the donors:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Age: \u00a018-65 years old<\/li>\n<li>16-17 years old needs parental consent<\/li>\n<li>60-65 years old needs a physician&#8217;s approval<\/li>\n<li>Weight: \u00a0atleast 115lbs. or 52.5 kg.<\/li>\n<li>Blood Pressure: \u00a090-130 systolic, 60-90 diastolic<\/li>\n<li>Travel abroad for a period of more than 1 month must have stayed in the country for 12 months before you can donate.<\/li>\n<li>Travel abroad for a period of less than 1 month, must have stayed in the country for a month before you can donate.<\/li>\n<li>No major\/minor surgical procedure within a year<\/li>\n<li>Tattooing\/piercing: \u00a012 months after the procedure<\/li>\n<li>No medicine or alcohol intake for at least 24 hours<\/li>\n<li>No smoking: 4 hours prior to blood extraction<\/li>\n<li>At least 5 hours of sleep<\/li>\n<li>Physically healthy<\/li>\n<li>Negative for sexually transmitted diseases<\/li>\n<li>Other guidelines for deferral will be assessed during the interview of donor&#8217;s personal and medical history and physical examination.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Benefits:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Have a personal health check-up<\/li>\n<li>You will know your blood type, hemoglobin level and BP<\/li>\n<li>The bone marrow will be stimulated to produce younger and active cells (change oil mechanism)<\/li>\n<li>More volunteer blood donors would meet the supply of blood<\/li>\n<li>It is something that will make you feel good about yourself.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We are asking you to join us this coming February 21, 2016. \u00a0Be there! \u00a0God Bless You!<\/p>\n<p>For more information you can contact our Health Department Director Pastor Lonie D.
