{"id":762,"date":"2012-08-10T11:41:01","date_gmt":"2012-08-10T03:41:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.nemmadventist.org\/?p=762"},"modified":"2012-08-10T11:41:58","modified_gmt":"2012-08-10T03:41:58","slug":"nemm-f-camp-contributes-success-to-soul-winning","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.nemmadventist.org\/?p=762","title":{"rendered":"NeMM F-Camp Contributes Success to Soul Winning"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nemmadventist.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/fcamp323.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-764 alignright\" title=\"fcamp323\" src=\"http:\/\/www.nemmadventist.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/fcamp323-300x180.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"180\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.nemmadventist.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/fcamp323-300x180.png 300w, http:\/\/www.nemmadventist.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/fcamp323.png 600w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>In 1892 Ellen White predicted that the youth of the church, when rightly trained would help to finish the work of the gospel in all the world. \u201cWith such an army of workers as our youth, rightly trained, might furnish, how soon the message of crucified, risen and soon-coming Saviour might be carried to the whole world!\u00a0 How soon might the end come-the end of suffering and sorrow and sin.\u201d <em>(Messages to Young People, p. 196)<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>F-CAMP<\/strong>\u00a0 (Friendship Camp)\u00a0 program is designed to assist young people to reach other young people for Christ, to expose youth to Jesus in a positive way, and to see them either accept Jesus Christ or come closer to accepting Him.<\/li>\n<li>It is \u00a0used by the church as a vehicle for training young people in the skills of sharing their faith.\u00a0 There, they can learn to express vocally and to share their own experiences with Christ;<\/li>\n<li>To provide an environment where they can be at home and feel at ease and unafraid of creation and should learn how to live in the wilderness, to cope with natural elements.<\/li>\n<li>F-Camp is an evangelism activities designed by Northeastern Mindanao Mission intended for the young people with scheme that is \u00a0very unique and challenging. \u00a0Part of this idea is taken from\u00a0 E-CAMP program introduced by retired worker Pr. Felipe Caballero with some modifications.\u00a0\u00a0 Every young people will have to invite at least 2 non-sda in order for them to qualify to attend the camping.\u00a0 The activities were like Pathfindering;hiking, swimming, treasure hunting, songs and yells and many more.\u00a0 Of course with more emphasis in spiritual development.\u00a0\u00a0 They will be\u00a0 divided into small groups with a minimum of 12 members.\u00a0 They will have unit captain, counselors, guidon in every group.\u00a0 Each unit will have facilitators who will help them in explaining the truth.<\/li>\n<li>For this purpose we trained and organized many young people and developed them through training and seminars.\u00a0 And at this time we have 820 trained facilitators who envisioned themselves to do the job in reaching out and explaining the Bible truths to non-sda believers in the camp.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>There are guest speakers in every venue of the FCAMP who will focus on doctrinal messages every morning and evening devotional coupled with the Health lectures about human sexuality pertaining to avoiding irresponsible sex, drugs and narcotics focusing on alcohol and Tobacco.<\/p>\n<p>Last October 27-November 2, 2011 NeMM, carried out this first \u00a0FCAMP program in seven (7) areas namely:\u00a0 1) Punot, Esperanza Agusan del Sur 2) Bonbon, Butuan City, 3) Cabadbaran City 4) Loreto, Agusan del Sur, 5) Tagbina, Surigao del Sur 6) Forest Hills Academy and 7) Dinagat Island.\u00a0 It\u2019s amazing how the Lord used the young people in this kind of evangelism.\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0Eight Hundred Sixty (860) <strong>\u00a0<\/strong>precious souls were baptized.<\/p>\n<p>Thru God\u2019s providence last April 15-22, 2012, the Covina International SDA Church, California, sponsored eight (8) FCAMP in different places conducted simultaneously in 1) Sto. Tomas, Loreto Agusan del Sur 2) NEMA, Los Angelels, Butuan City 3) San Francisco, Agusan del Sur 4) Forest Hills Academy, Bayugan City\u00a0 5) Lanuza, Surigao del Norte\u00a0 6) Cagwait, Surigao del Sur 7) Hubgan Surigao del Norte\u00a0 8) Siargao, Surigao del Norte.\u00a0\u00a0 The Mission\u00a0 shouldered the food for the facilitators while the churches sponsored the campers\u2019 food.<\/p>\n<p><em>As a result \u00a01,499 precious souls accepted Jesus thru baptism.<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Sto. Tomas, Loreto Agusan del Sur \u2013 148 souls<\/li>\n<li>San Francisco, Agusan del Sur \u2013 238 souls<\/li>\n<li>Forest Hills Academy \u2013 182 souls<\/li>\n<li>NEMA Los Angeles, Butuan City &#8211; 223 souls<\/li>\n<li>Hubgan, Surigao del Norte \u2013 221<\/li>\n<li>Lanuza, Surigao del Sur \u2013 168 souls<\/li>\n<li>Cagwait, Surigao del Sur \u2013 198 souls<\/li>\n<li>Siargao, Surigao del Norte \u2013 121 souls<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Some \u00a0amazing experiences were met.\u00a0 A \u00a0young man with long hair confessed that he is a theft and wanted to change his life.\u00a0 And after baptism he signified that he wanted to be a pastor.<\/p>\n<p>A young lady was disturbed by an evil spirit while listening to the presentation, and \u00a0later was baptized and all non-sda participants were baptized too \u00a0including the Catholic sacristan.<\/p>\n<p>A Baptist youth leader attended the camping because he wanted to follow the style of our camping and plan to introduce\u00a0 in his congregation was also \u00a0baptized.<\/p>\n<p>Many young people\u00a0 addicted to alcohol and drugs were baptized including a &#8220;Gay\u201d \u00a0and promised to follow Christ.<\/p>\n<p>Another one\u00a0\u00a0 was baptized during\u00a0 FCAMP in Sto.
