The Ministerial Spouses Association (MSA) of the Northeastern Mindanao Mission successfully conducted the MSA Level 1 Certification Training on February 6–7 at the Northeastern Mindanao Mission Hall. The training was organized as part of the MS Continuing Education Program, specifically designed to equip and strengthen young ministerial spouses through the Curriculum Level I program.
The Level 1 Certification primarily serves as an orientation and foundational training for newly recognized members of the Ministerial Spouses Association. At the same time, it also functions as a refresher course for experienced MSA members who have previously undergone the training, allowing them to revisit essential principles of ministry support, renew their commitment, and strengthen their role alongside their spouses in pastoral ministry.
Anchored on the theme “Stronger Together: I Will Go,” the event highlighted the significant role of ministerial spouses in supporting pastoral ministry, strengthening the pastoral family, and nurturing a deeper spiritual life while actively participating in the mission of the church.
The two-day training featured several inspiring lectures from experienced speakers. Mrs. Rosie S. Pangan presented the sessions “So You Are a Ministerial Spouse” and “Coping with the Challenges of Being a Ministerial Spouse,”providing practical insights on understanding the calling of ministry and navigating the unique responsibilities and challenges faced by ministerial families.
Mrs. Marivic L. Saramosing, MAT, delivered a meaningful presentation titled “Prayer in the Lives of Ministerial Spouses,” emphasizing the power of prayer as the sustaining force that strengthens faith, endurance, and spiritual commitment in ministry life.
Meanwhile, Pr. Cirilo S. Ba-al, President of the Northeastern Mindanao Mission, inspired participants through the presentation “Enriching Your Walk with God,” encouraging ministerial spouses to cultivate a deeper and more personal relationship with Christ as the foundation of effective service.
A series of practical and family-centered sessions were facilitated by Mrs. Kenneth C. Ba-al, who also serves as the MSA Coordinator of the Northeastern Mindanao Mission. She led discussions on “The Role of Ministerial Spouse,” “Communication Keys,” “Raising Responsible Children,” and “Help, Lord! I’m a Parent!” These sessions highlighted the importance of strong communication in marriage, intentional parenting, and faithful partnership in supporting pastoral ministry.
The training provided a meaningful platform for learning, spiritual enrichment, and fellowship, enabling ministerial spouses to connect with one another while strengthening their commitment to God’s calling.
Through this continuing education initiative, the Ministerial Spouses Association aims to empower ministerial families, strengthen pastoral support systems, and affirm the vital role of ministerial spouses in advancing the mission of the church.
With renewed inspiration and commitment, participants concluded the training embracing the spirit of the theme—“Stronger Together: I Will Go.”
