Buenavista is one of the pastoral districts of Northeastern Mindanao Mission which is in the province of Agusan del Norte. With the active leadership of the District Pastor Jose Conrado Hermoso who holds 16 churches within the district, the brethren were empowered to have their district-wide fellowship in barangay Alubihid, Buenavista, Gymnasium last November 20, 2010. The host church is Alubihid whose members were very supportive and enthusiastic to shoulder all the food expenses during the Sabbath for more or less than 700 brethren in attendance. That maybe a sort of showing thanks to God for having 2 church elders and 1 women leader who were elected as Barangay Kagawad (Councilors) last Barangay 2010 election,” the district pastor said.
Mr. Cirilo S. Ba-al, the treasurer of Northeastern Mindanao Mission was the invited guest during the hour of worship that spiritually strengthen everyone’s faith.
To give color to the program, a music festival was the highlight in the afternoon. Students, singers from Northeastern Mindanao Academy, Butuan City Mission Academy, Butuan City Church, Motivators singers made superbly their presentations in singing and playing some instrumental numbers using flute, violin and saxophone.
It was indeed a wonderful Sabbath, because the brethren stayed long until the program ended. They were really blessed with the program through music that each one went home happily and inspired of that profitable and enhancing Sabbath activities.
