Valencia City, Bukidnon: Preparations are in full swing for the highly anticipated Division-Wide Congress focusing on Sabbath School, Personal Ministries, Children’s Ministries, and NDR-IEL. Set against the scenic backdrop of Mountain View College from June 10 to 15, 2024, this event promises to be a transformative experience for delegates, offering profound insights into Sabbath School and stewardship principles.

The Southern Asia-Pacific Division (SSD) of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, the organizer of this grand congress, has themed the event “Jesus is Coming: Get Involved.” This gathering aims to foster spiritual growth, community engagement, and deeper faith connections, drawing thousands of participants across the region.

With an expected turnout of over 30,000 delegates from local and international areas, organizers focus on ensuring smooth logistics and comfortable accommodations. The meticulous planning is evident in the efforts of the Central Mindanao Mission (CMM) under the leadership of Pastor Porferio Lagunday Jr. He revealed that Mountain View College is well-prepared to host the event, with 245 domes erected to house up to 80 tents. Additionally, infrastructural enhancements, including new roads and exits, have facilitated better traffic flow and accessibility.

Expressing his excitement, Pastor Segundino Asoy, the Sabbath School Director for the SSD, highlighted the significance of the upcoming congress. “Since the pandemic, thousands within and beyond our division have eagerly awaited this congress,” said Asoy. “Now that the moment is upon us, we thank God for guiding us to this day. This event promises to be a meaningful opportunity for learning, fellowship, and the proclamation of the church’s mission.”

A video released by Mas Media further amplified the enthusiasm, with Pastor Asoy encouraging attendance and participation. The congress will feature various activities, including sports like basketball and tennis, alongside breakout sessions, lectures, and other engaging programs.

As anticipation builds for the Southern Asia-Pacific Division Congress, expectations soar for the spiritually enriching experience awaiting participants. With a lineup of esteemed speakers ready to deliver impactful keynote addresses, attendees can look forward to deepening their understanding of Sabbath School teachings and forging lasting connections with fellow believers.
