Story told by Pr. Nimrod Saramosing as he was the one who applied resuscitation
and brought him to the hospital
Teodoro Campos is a Pentecostal pastor and at the same time the tribal chieftain leader of the Manobo in Bunawan, Agusan del Sur. He received Bible study through the Small Group in Bunawan church. He came from other 3 denominations and wanted to have additional knowledge which opted him to study more of the Bible. Since he is convinced that the Seventh-day Adventist is the true religion, he attended the 4th Small Group Festival in NeMA Los Angeles, Butuan City and decided to be baptized on the Sabbath of October 16. He requested for a special prayer from Ma’am Helen Gulfan, the wife of the SSD president, for he feared to face death when he is not baptized yet. On Friday, October 15, he felt uncomfortable of his stomach so he looked for a store to buy medicine. As he crossed the wide highway he did not notice the other car coming fast overtaking the other vehicle. He was hit right away.
Pr. Nimrod Saramosing resuscitated and brought him to the hospital but to no avail. Sad to know that he did not survive. The doctor declared him as dead on arrival. It was a sad experience for a big meeting to have an accident. But that incident gave us a sure hope that Brother Teodoro Campos is in God’s hands.
Our condolences to the Campos family. I’m very positive heaven is sure for him. [Letecia D. Ramos]
