God Cares Regardless of Who You Are

December 30, 2012 by Leave a Comment

If God cares so wonderfully for flowers that are here today and gone tomorrow, won’t He more surely care for you? Matthew 6:30

One day, a church member asked his pastor,   “Pastor,  is the verse that Matthew 6:30 mentioned reliable?” the pastor said,  “Why?” the Pastor  was  astonished as he looked at his member of his church one worship day. ” It seems that this passage is not so relevant at all”.  You know Pastor,  a  family friend of mine during one of their fellowship in their church,  together with his wife and their only daughter  were so very active in participating the program.  During the worship service,  the daughter led the congregation in singing and the mother accompanied with her at the organ.  The father was also doing his task  as the president of the said fellowship.

After the worship  service, the young people were again pleading to let the family stay for the social gathering. The family  agreed and they were there enjoying the games and the  marching,  the so called  “vegetarian dance”. On the following day, Sunday while the family traveled by motorcycle to visit their farm,  they were  hit by a four wheeled van at the rear part of their motorcycle and it caused the loss  of his beloved treasures, his wife and his only daughter.  They  died in that incident. Where is the promise that is written in that passage? . . .

“He more surely cares for you?  won’t he more surely care for you?”

If you are the minister, how would you answer that question from someone in your congregation?

The truth is,  no body is  exempted of the pains and sufferings  in this world even death.   Even the righteous will experience loss, pains and all the possible happenings that will happen to mankind. Jesus Christ said,  we are all partakers of His pains and sufferings in this world but there is hope of eternal life when we have Christ in our hearts. We should praise God for it and someday He’ll make it plain to us why things happened. Sure enough He has a purpose for everything.
