This week, Siargao Island is alive with spirit and enthusiasm as we celebrate the Simultaneous Adventist World Radio Evangelistic meeting. Under the inspiring leadership of Pastor Elexis Mercado and Pastor Jeter Canoy, ten sites for evangelism were established that bring brethren from all over the island. The evangelistic meeting is a powerful reminder of our shared faith, as all communities unite to spread the gospel and support the important work of Adventist World Radio (AWR).
The event takes place in various barangays throughout the island, each led by dedicated church leaders passionate about sharing God’s message. In Barangay Jamoyaon, the SAN Isidro and Roxas Churches are working hard to rally their community. Meanwhile, Barangay Bagacay is enthusiastically buzzing as the Caob and Cancohoy Churches join to support the crusade. Each barangay creates a unique atmosphere filled with worship and fellowship, showcasing our churches’ diverse yet unified spirit here in Siargao.
In Barangay Katipunan, the Rizal and Burgos Churches shine brightly as they welcome participants to their venue. Their commitment to God’s work is evident, even if they face challenges. Over in Barangay Esperanza, brethren from SAN Benito and Esperanza Churches are equally determined, showing that obstacles will not stop them from sharing the gospel. When faith runs deep, nothing can hinder our mission, and this attitude is evident throughout all the venues in Siargao.
The same spirit of unity and courage resonates in Barangay Antipolo, where the General Luna Church shines as it moves independently. Here, we see the power of collective faith as every member participates in spreading the Word of God. Similarly, in Barangay Cabugao, the Socorro and Mabuhay Churches join forces, each contributing their talents and resources to ensure the success of the crusade. Their enthusiasm is contagious and inspiring, attracting even more individuals to participate.
In Barangay Sta. Fe, Corregidor, and Union Churches’ leadership shine through as they invite everyone to join in worship and learning. The determination shown by these brothers and sisters emphasizes the importance of working together in faith. Over in Barangay Bitoon, the Pilar and Del Carmen Churches are equally dedicated, fostering a warm atmosphere that encourages everyone to deepen their relationship with God. Each venue has its own story, but all share the same goal of spreading the gospel.
As we head to Barangay Jubang, the Consolacion and Sta. Felomina Churches are making waves with their vibrant programs and outreach efforts. Last but not least, the Dapa Church also played a vital role in this extraordinary event, ensuring that every corner of the island had a chance to hear God’s message.
Despite the struggles faced at each venue, such as limited financial resources, sleepless nights, and distance between venues, the faith of our brethren remains unwavering. Every night, we witnessed testimonies of courage and dedication that inspired us all. The Simultaneous Adventist World Radio Crusade is a true celebration of faith, pulling together the diverse communities of Siargao Island into one powerful movement.
