The Literature Evangelists of the Northeastern Mindanao Mission (NEMM) gathered for a meaningful Grand Literature Evangelists Devotional on February 7, 2026, a special occasion dedicated to spiritual renewal, encouragement, and celebration of God’s blessings in the publishing ministry.
The devotional message was led by Pr. Cirilo S. Ba-al, President of the Northeastern Mindanao Mission, who inspired the literature evangelists to remain steadfast in their calling and to recognize their work as a vital part of God’s mission in reaching souls through the printed page.
The event was facilitated by Pr. Meljoie Pepito, Publishing Director of NEMM, who welcomed the literature evangelists and highlighted the importance of unity and commitment in advancing the publishing ministry.
The gathering was further strengthened by the presence of special guests from the wider publishing work of the church. Among them were Pr. Rey Cabanero, Publishing Director of the Southern Asia-Pacific Division (SSD); Pr. Lemuel Nietes, Publishing Director of the Southwestern Philippine Union Conference (SWPUC); Mr. Elbert Esperanzate, Vice President for Operations of the Philippine Publishing House (PPH) and Pr. Floranty Ty – Retired President of the Philippine Publishing House. Their presence brought encouragement and affirmation to the literature evangelists as they continue their missionary work.
One of the major highlights of the gathering was the recognition of Northeastern Mindanao Mission as the Top 1 in total sales across the entire Southwestern Philippine Union Conference (SWPUC). This achievement reflects the dedication and faithful service of the literature evangelists who tirelessly share the gospel through literature.
In addition, four Assistant Publishing Ministries Leaders (APMLs) from NEMM were recognized for their outstanding performance, placing among the Top 10 across the entire SWPUC; they are Erwin Budiongan Jr., Phoebe Campado, Greg Llorcal, and Nida Malaga. Two of our literature evangelists were also included in top 10 of highest sales throughout SWPUC.
During the devotional program, Pr. Lemuel Nietes delivered an inspiring message emphasizing that God calls for unity and commitment among literature evangelists to intentionally spread the gospel message through printed pages. He encouraged the workers to remain focused on their mission, reminding them that every book distributed can become a seed of truth planted in someone’s life.
The Grand Literature Evangelists Devotional concluded with renewed inspiration and gratitude to God for His guidance and blessings upon the publishing ministry. The literature evangelists left the gathering strengthened in faith and committed to continue their mission of bringing hope and truth to communities through the power of gospel literature.
